WWW.SHEADS.COM.AU WINS AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

WWW.SHEADS.COM.AU skippered by Dan Watterson and crewed by Rick Plain from Middle Harbour 16ft Skiff Sailing Club in New South Wales have won the 2008-2009 13ft Skiff Australian Championships. In a variety of conditions Dan and Rick sailed exceptionally well in very close competition to win the series. Congratulations to Dan and Rick. Second was Fluid Building Services sailed by Skye McFadyen and Allanah Clancy from Manly, New South Wales and third was Sydney Swans sailed by Scott Cotton/Harry West and Ben Gunton from Middle Harbour, New South Wales. Congratulations to all competitors for a very competitive and successful series.

 

State Championships update

The final two heats of the NSW 13FT Skiff State Championships were held on Saturday 6 December at Middle Harbour. The first race was held in a 6-18 knot westerly and the second race held in a 10-18 knot south easterly. Some fantastic conditions for all competitors. The results are listed in the Events, Results & Calendar section of this website. Congratulations to Sheads Real Estate sailed by Dan Watterson and Rick Plain from Middle Harbour. Not only did they win both heats yesterday but they also won the NSW 13FT Skiff State Championship trophy. They sailed particularly well and consistently throughout the whole series and thoroughly deserved the win. Congratulations Dan and Rick. Also congratulations to all competitors throughout the series.
